Explore these dimly lit vaults, once the haunt of criminals, body snatchers, and witches alike! Each vault has stories of crime, disease and death, and lots more, with which your highly experienced and entertaining guide shall enlighten you with all the gory details.

Step down into underground Edinburgh and see a genuine witchcraft temple. Recently used by the “Source Coven of the Blue Dragon”. Enter their former temple, and learn why it was no longer safe for them to practice their craft in that vault. DARE you step inside the infamous stone circle?

How early should I arrive for my tour?
We recommend arriving at least 5 minutes before your tour is due to begin.

There will be some gruesome stories told so this is at parents discretion.

No, they are accessed by a narrow staircase which may be an issue for people with restricted mobility.

60th birthday

Choose to do this for my birthday, Marcus was a great guide ,funny and full of information, the history of the vaults was interesting, I was the only one to dare stepping into the stone circle, would do it again if more vaults are opened

Bloody Brilliant!

Highly recommend the vaults tour. Our guide Marcus was very entertaining and loaded with info and stories. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A must do in Edinburgh.

Vaults Tour

Thank you Alex for giving us such an immersive tour this morning. We love a little jaunt to Edinburgh and its never complete without a spooky tour. The vaults this morning even at 10am were the right amount of spooky and informative. Would absolutely recommend :)

We have just been on the underground walking tour today.It was extremely interesting but I believe the thing that made everything much better was our amazing tour guide Ashlyn. Daiva the tour guide was absolutely fantastic! extremely knowledgeable and had a great way of putting the history of edinburgh across! very very friendly and funny! couldn’t of asked for a better guide to go into the vault with! i would recommend this tour and especially this guide to anyone who’s planning on visiting! you will not be disappointed!!
