Overview

Experience a Day Tour of Glencoe Mountains

Join your knowledgeable guide for The Glencoe Mountains and Massacres Tour. Firstly, you will travel south from Fort William, following the shores of Loch Linnhe and Loch Leven. You will arrive at the village of Glencoe, which is overlooked by the famous Pap. Next, we’ll stop off at the National Trust visitor centre to learn of the story of the 1692 massacre of Glencoe.

Following this, you will travel through the spectacular scenery that is Glencoe. Get ready to learn all about the volcanoes and glaciers that shaped the landscape we see today.  Then we’ll take a walk up the steep narrow path to discover the Lost Valley where the MacDonald’s hid their cattle *.

The Glencoe Mountains and Massacres Tour will then take you on to Glen Etive. Here you will start with a visit to the falls on the River Coupall, the subject of innumerable iconic images. Further down the glen, you’ll stop to recreate the famous scene from Skyfall. You can imagine you are Bond or M while looking for the red deer which can be found grazing close to the road. Book the Day Tour of Glencoe Mountains for a beautiful day out.

*For the less adventurous this can be substituted with a ride up the chairlift. Supplementary charges apply, please ask.
