A smorgasbord of Scotland’s most outstanding characteristics. Travel through the countries beautiful national parks, gaze at the wondrous Glencoe, peer up at Scotland’s highest peak and enjoy a delicious ‘Taste of Scotland’ lunch at an award-winning restaurant.
Depart from Edinburgh and head north where you will pass the imposing Stirling Castle settled on volcanic rock. The tour takes you then though the Trossachs National Park that covers the western part of the southern Highlands. Then, admire the impressive views while crossing the wilds of Rannoch Moor before stopping at dramatic Glencoe. Your journey takes you further to Fort William where you can see the majestic Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest peak, before arriving at the famous banks of Loch Ness.
Amidst the cultural and scenic delights, indulge in a feast of your choice at the Lovat Hotel, an award-winning restaurant in Fort Augustus; Relish a 3-course lunch of Scotland’s finest fayre. Why not try locally sourced haggis, cured Great Glen venison and Black Isle lamb with a dram of Inverness-shire’s famous Dalwhinnie whisky? The world-famous Loch Ness itself is then just the cherry on top.
After lunch there is plenty time to walk along the shoreline of Loch Ness, who knows you might catch sight of Nessie, or just relax and watch the boats pass by at the Caledonia Canal.
On the return journey, you will pass the beautiful banks of Loch Laggan and are treated to more stunning Highland scenery. Enjoy the views from the Drumochter Pass through the Cairngorms National Park. The journey takes you further to Perthshire, known for its forests, rivers and mountains.
View the spectacular Forth Bridges before heading back to Edinburgh, where you will arrive around 8pm.

The Company reserves the right to cancel extended (multi-day) and day tours where the minimum number of passengers is not reached. The minimum number of passengers required for tour departure is 6. In such cases, the Company’s liability to the Customer is either the full return of monies paid for the tour or provision of a suitable alternative tour as agreed with the Customer.
Heading north, you will pass the imposing ramparts of Stirling Castle and drive through the Trossachs National Park, Rob Roy country. Then, cross the wilds of Rannoch Moor before stopping at dramatic Glencoe. The journey takes you through to Fort William and majestic Ben Nevis, before arriving at Fort Augustus on the banks of Loch Ness.
Upon arrival in Fort Augustus, you are treated to a delicious 'A Taste of Scotland' lunch at the Lovat Hotel, an award-winning restaurant. Enjoy local specialties such as smoked salmon, haggis, wildgame and a dram of whisky.
After lunch, there is plenty time to walk along the shoreline of Loch Ness and go "Nessie hunting", or just relax by the Caledonia Canal. Here you can see the famous Neptune Staircase lock, lifting boats 64 feet (20 m), the longest staircase lock in Britain. It consists of eight locks and it takes boats about 90 minutes to pass through the system.
On the return journey you can admire the beautiful shimmering of Loch Laggan and the wonderful Highlands scenery. Enjoy the views from the Drumochter Pass while travelling through the magnificent Cairngorms National Park. Then take in more breathtaking scenery as the journey takes you further to Perthshire, known for its forests, rivers and mountains.
Towards the end of the journey, view the spectacular Forth Bridges before arriving back in Edinburgh around 8pm.
